Everything to know before your visit

Answers to the questions we're asked most often. If you can't find yours here, just get in touch.

First time at a massage?

Don't worry, here is what your first visit looks like, step by step.

  1. 1Book

Online in less than a minute or by phone. Choose a massage and a time that suits you.

  2. 2Arrive a little early

Five to ten minutes before your appointment. Together we fill in your client card and talk about you.

  3. 3Relax

You stay in your underwear or disposable briefs and are covered with a towel. Tell me what feels good.

  4. 4After the massage

Drink some water, take your time and enjoy the rest of the day. You can book your next visit right away.

How should I prepare for my massage?

To help you enjoy your appointment to the full and relax completely, here are a few short, useful tips before you arrive.

Martina, Zen Zone Pula
  1. Before you come

    Food and drink

Try to avoid heavy meals for at least 1 to 2 hours before the massage, so lying on your stomach isn't uncomfortable. Drink a glass of water before and after the treatment for better hydration and to help flush out toxins.

    What to wear

Come in comfortable clothes. During the massage clients usually keep their own underwear on, and disposable briefs are available if you prefer. You're covered with a towel throughout, and only the part of the body being massaged is uncovered.

No need for freshly washed hair

If you're having a full-body massage, oils and creams will very likely touch your hair. So don't worry about your hairstyle – it's best to wash your hair after the treatment.

    No make-up

Ladies, we recommend coming without make-up. During a face massage or while lying face down, make-up can smudge – and we want your skin to breathe freely.

  2. When you arrive

    Come a little early

Because of the client card and a short consultation, please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your appointment. That way we can go through everything without rushing.

    First visit and client card

If it's your first time with us, we'll fill in your client card together before the massage. In a short chat we'll learn about your health – it's important for us to know about any allergies, past fractures or surgery. Based on this we choose the ideal essential oil and adapt the massage technique to your body, so the treatment is completely safe and effective.

  3. During the massage

    Communication is key

During the massage, just tell us if the pressure is too strong or too light, or if the room temperature doesn't suit you. This is your time to enjoy!

We look forward to seeing you!

What is a prenatal (pregnancy) massage like?

Pregnancy brings wonderful changes, but also extra strain on the back, legs and joints. Our prenatal massage is completely safe and designed to give you maximum comfort. As we don't use a table with a belly cut-out (which can often press on the tummy), we massage you in the most comfortable and safest positions for pregnancy:

  • Lying on your side: supported by soft pillows, perfect for relaxing the whole back and lower back.
  • Seated on a chair: ideal for quickly relieving the shoulders, neck and upper back.

Let us take care of you and your body while you enjoy a well-deserved rest.

How long is the recovery after Brazilian maderotherapy?

Brazilian maderotherapy is a hugely popular body-shaping treatment that uses special wooden cups. Thanks to the vacuum effect it works deeper into the tissue, yet it is gentler on the skin and less painful than classic maderotherapy. There's no real recovery time – you go straight back to your daily activities. Here's what to expect:

  • No lasting bruises: unlike classic wooden rollers, the Brazilian method rarely leaves bruises thanks to the vacuum. If very sensitive skin shows slight redness or a small bruise, it fades within 1 to 2 days.
  • A feeling of firmness: instead of strong muscle soreness, you're more likely to feel a pleasant tightness in the skin and muscles, similar to after a light Pilates session.
  • Extra tip: the results (drainage and water release) are visible straight away. To boost them, be sure to drink plenty of water after the treatment so your lymphatic system can do its job!
Can I pay by card?

To help you plan your visit: we accept card payments at the salon, but as a small local business we truly appreciate and prefer payment in cash. Thank you for your understanding and support!

How do I use a gift voucher?

Book online and enter the voucher code in the note. The voucher is valid for 3 months from purchase and can be used for any treatment. If the treatment costs less than the voucher, the remaining balance stays on the same code for your next visit; if it costs more, simply pay the difference at the salon.
